In 2008 we were appointed by the London Transport Museum to design a new Board Room Suite for their Stakeholders. This entailed gutting part of the existing first floor of No. 35 Wellington Street, which had previously contained storage areas and basic toilet facilities. We then inserted a new reception /waiting area, a kitchen, new toilet facilities, including a DWC, storage spaces, together with the new board room. A wheelchair lift was also installed to facilitate access from the Museum. A particular feature of the design was to optimise the use of the available volume. DEB were also responsible for the design and selection of furniture and, with Skinflint Design, for the lighting.
